Where:  Ambridge Area Senior High School

Time:    5:45 PM Check-In / Refreshments in the Cafeteria

              6:00 PM Presentation Begins Promptly in the Auditorium

The Ambridge Area School District would like to welcome you to the Second Annual 8th to 9th Grade Transition Night to be held on January 22, 2019 at the Ambridge Area High School. Our staff and current students will be on hand to discuss the following:

  • Course Map/Progression of Classes from 8th – 12th grade:  i.e. Algebra I, Algebra II, etc. 

  • Grade Requirements / Pre-requisite / Placement Exams

  • General Discussion of Classes / Interest Areas 

  • Advanced Placement and Acceleration Tracks / High School Curriculum

  • Understanding the Scheduling Process: Course Selection and Selecting Courses

  • Beaver County Career and Technology Center – BCCTC: Certifications and Classes offered to all AAHS Students

  • During the night, Parents/Guardians will learn about the exciting new classes offered at the High School Level, including new AP courses and Advanced Track Classes in addition to course and class progression from 9th – 12th grade. Parents/Guardians who are interested in the Beaver County Career and Technology center are also encouraged to attend to learn more about the programs offered to Ambridge Senior High School Students starting in the 10th grade year. The BCCTC will be on hand from 7:30 – 8:00 pm for all interested attendees.

  • Refreshments will also be served as you learn about the future curriculum and classes of your student. Members of the National Honor Society and Student Council will also be on hand to offer first-hand experience and information pertaining to High School Involvement.

  • At this time, please join us for a wonderful and informational night of learning of the future educational experience of your student at the High School Level. We look forward to meeting everyone as we continue to prepare our students for a future of educational and career success for the 2019-2020 school year!
