SENIOR PORTRAIT SPECIFICATIONS

IF YOU ARE SUBMITTING A SENIOR PICTURE

The picture you submit for publication in the yearbook must meet certain criteria that are listed below. Please feel free to share this paper with your photographer so that he/she is certain to take at least one photograph that meets this list of criteria. Talk to your photographer and make sure they can comply before you have pictures taken.

If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Musser in Room 212. Please see appropriate examples at the bottom of the page.

Also, the submission date of December 21st 2018 is very firm; please submit your photo in accordance.

Size –Your picture must be color photo and submitted digitally on a compact disc or emailed to Mrs. Musser. Ask your photographer to be certain the image is saved as a .jpg and at a resolution of 300 DPI. 640 x 800 pixel resolution. Non-digitally submitted (hard copies) pictures cannot be accepted.

No photographer effects (i.e. Diffusion, shadowing, black/white, embossing)

Background colorsWe suggest blue, gray, or brown and shades thereof.

Dress – Men must be in collar shirts, preferably wearing a tie. Women must be in a blouse or sweater that is not low cut

Not appropriate items:

  • tank or tube tops                                  - stained or torn clothing                   - writing on clothing

  • t-shirts and sweatshirts                       - provocative clothing                        - hats

    Poses - Picture should be a shot of the head and shoulders. There should be some space between the top of the subject’s head and the top of the picture. Subject must be facing forward, no angle poses; you may not rest your head on your hand or elbow, lay down or lean. No hands in photo.

    Photography props and other decorations - No prop use please. (This includes large graduation numbers, vehicles or pets, etc)

    Submission dateDecember 21st, 2018

    Students may also use their high school photo taken on

    School Picture day or make-up day.
