On January 29, 2016 twenty Ambridge Jr. High Technology Education Students competed in the Regional Technology Student Association (TSA) Competition at California University of Pennsylvania. TSA fosters personal growth, leadership, and opportunities in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM); members apply and integrate these concepts through co-curricular activities, competitions, and related programs.
The Chapter did very well placing in many events. The events the children placed in include CAD Foundations, Children's Stories, Electrical Applications, Flight, Leadership Strategies, Problem Solving, STEM Animation, System Control Technology, Tech Bowl, Bio-Medical Essay, and Logo Design. The Chapter earned 1st place in Tech Bowl, Stem Animation, and Leadership Strategies.
Fifteen Students have earned the right to compete at the state conference held at Seven Springs resort in mid-April. At this conference there are over 1500 competitors from across the state. Good luck to all that are competing.
