Economy Kindergarten Orientation

Welcome to the Class of 2033!

It is with great excitement that the faculty and staff welcome you to the Economy family.  While your child begins their education at a time of great uncertainty, please know that the faculty and staff at Economy spent the summer working hard to put practices and procedures in place to ensure the health and safety of the entire school community while also making sure that all students have the best possible educational experience.

In an effort to observe social distance, and to keep all staff and students safe, this year’s mandatory Kindergarten Orientation will take place virtually on Thursday, August 13 at 9:30 A.M.  Please join the Microsoft Teams meeting to meet the Economy Kindergarten team and support staff.  Access the link here:  Join Microsoft Teams Meeting

We will provide an explanation of the daily routine that your child will experience every day. Please familiarize yourself with the district website, and the Economy Elementary School page, for updates relating to COVID-19

While the school plays a significant role in educating students, we believe that parents play an important role in reinforcing concepts taught in the Kindergarten classroom.  The Kindergarten Orientation provides a variety of information to help parents prepare their students for the first day of school, and to support students as they progress through the school year.  An emergency card and a Kindergarten contact sheet will be sent home with your child to return to your child’s teacher.  This information helps us to keep open the lines of communication between the school and home.

The Economy faculty is dedicated to ensuring that our students receive the best possible education. Please feel free to contact your child’s teacher or myself with any questions or concerns that arise.  We look forward to getting to know you, and working with, you and your child.  The 2020-2021 school year will be exciting.
