Update for Friday, October 2 After School Events

Earlier this week, the Board of School Directors held a special meeting for the purpose of considering measures to further allow spectators to attend our fall sporting events within certain safety parameters relating to COVID-19.  They voted to allow a specified number of tickets to student participants, and plans were made to implement these new protocols.  Yesterday, the legal process in our court system continued to evolve, resulting in the return to Governor Wolf’s cap on indoor and outdoor events.  In light of this official order, it is necessary to curtail our expanded participation plan as described below.

The District is committed to allowing parents and our community access to our events to the extent authorized by law and safety requirements during the pandemic.  It is possible that these standards will continue to evolve, and when they do, we stand ready to again adapt and serve the needs of our students and community.

Below is the district plan for tonight’s contest:

4:45pm Gates Open for Band Show Pass List

• Please remember to socially distance in the stands and that masks are required.
• Staff will be in place to check that attendees are on the pass list.

5p-5:30pm Band Show (this group will exit the stadium at the conclusion of the program)

• Pass list: 2 per senior; 1 per underclassmen
• Please email mrabold@ambridge.k12.pa.us with your players name, grade and parent(s) attending by 4pm today.

4:45pm Football reports to HS football locker room

5pm Cheer reports to HS main gym

5:30-6:15pm JROTC Promotion Ceremony

• Promotion will take place outside near flagpole

6:15pm Gates Open for Football Game
