Hello State Street Families, May is off to a busy start with planning and events, we will be having the end of year field day event June 4, 2021. The PTO is in the process of planning a great outdoor event for the kids with minimal Covid-19 exposure risk for the students and faculty. The PTO is attempting to plan a unique event for the kids this year however we will need assistance in the form of volunteers and donations, more information to come after the School Board approves our plan at the meeting on 5/12/21.

Upcoming/Current events:

PSSAs (grades 3-5) will continue until 5/13, makeups 5/14

Bruster’s Italian Ice truck (all students) with individual servings and drinks 5/18 at 1:30pm, provided by the PTO for a great job with testing

Kennywood Ticket final call at the HS 5/12 from 4-6 PM

Crazy hair day May 20th

Bridger Spirit Day 5/26

AR store 5/27

Virtual Band Parent Night at 7pm

No School May 31- June 2, return to school June 3

Field Day June 4

Last day of school June 11, 2021

Parents, the PTO is looking for new board members for the 21-22 school year to serve State Street, the current board is moving on and would greatly appreciate new volunteers to maintain a PTO at State Street. The current board will happily educate and train on the roles of the board and can continue to answer questions as the year goes on. The PTO provides funds for field trips, assemblies, classroom needs, school events, etc; without the PTO parents would need to step in and assist in paying for educational items for our students which we try our best to avoid.
