Ambridge Track and Field Boosters and Coaches organized a 3 part event for the community for Halloween that included a Parade, 1- mile Race, and a Candy Crawl through the business district in Ambridge on Saturday, Oct. 23.
Leah Fritsch, Track team co-captain, served as the student race coordinator for her senior project.
While families trick or treated with the businesses during the candy crawl, the Ambridge marching band, dressed in costume, joined other community organizations, members, and businesses in a parade. After the parade ended, runners raced down Merchant Street to see who could run a mile the fastest.
Ambridge athletes Nathan McCullough took 1st place in the High School boys division in the 1-mile race, and Akiyah Hines took first place in the girls’ division.
