We would like to communicate the following information from the High School Guidance Office:
Keystone Testing: All across Pennsylvania students are required to participate in the Pennsylvania System of School Assessment Keystone Exams. Keystone Exams are designed to measure student performance on the Pennsylvania Core Standards related to the categories of writing, listening, speaking, science, and mathematics.
The Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) will be sending out specific numerical score reports to the High School starting on January 5, 2022, from PDE to be delivered to all parents/guardians and students. We understand the concern for not receiving numerical score reports from the Pennsylvania Department of Education before re-testing. It will ensure numerical score reports are sent home immediately when delivered to the district in January 2022. The district is not responsible for the delay of score reporting as per PDE.
In order to comply with state and federal guidelines, any student that is currently in 9th, 10th or 11th and has completed an end of unit Pennsylvania System of School Assessment course and whom did not score proficient/advanced on the Spring 2021 Keystone may complete the re-take Keystone Exam on the following listed days. Letters were delivered for students that are scheduled to re-test. All rosters are posted outside the High School main office.
